George Clooney is our top tip for best actor gold.

Having won the award in 2008, for best support in Syriana, Clooney looks to update his trophy cabinet for his role in Jason Reitman’s new film Up in the Air (2009). Although I have not seen the film, as the US don’t like us, I hear its great. And I always belive what I hear.

But who does Clooney have in his way, well…Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart is drawing a hell of a lot of atention while Colin Firth (A Single Man), Morgan Freeman (Invictus), Sam Rockwell (Moon) and Viggo Mortensen (The Road) all stand a chance.

P.S – Although I have tipped Clooney for this, I would like to see Rockwell grab the award. He was great in Moon.
